This playlist was created from a reminder I scribbled onto a sheet of paper this week and smacked into the middle of my mirror:
TAKE A BREATH BABY. SLOW DOWN OR YOU’LL MISS WHAT IT IS YOU’RE LOOKING FOR.
I’m constantly reminding myself to breathe deeply. While making toast: breathe. Getting out of the shower: breathe. Opening my email inbox: breathe. I’ve been becoming aware of how much tension I unconsciously hold in my body. Deep breathing helps me actually feel what’s happening internally. To not intellectualize the feelings, but to notice them, and attune.
“oh, there’s some tension here, let’s soften it.”
Deeply breathing helps me soften, and softening as of late is deeply needed. To see the tension as a guide to what needs to be held.
I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO TAKE MANY DEEP BREATHS TODAY.
I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO SLOW DOWN WHERE YOU CAN.
I HOPE YOU TREAT YOURSELF AS GENTLY AS POSSIBLE.
